About Us
Whether you’re seeking a break from the stresses and strains of everyday life and looking to relax, or suffering from injury and looking for help, here at Thame Massage & Well Being Centre we have the skills and experience to cater for either scenario.
Who We Are – Mark
Mark has a long association with Thame through his ties with squash & racketball at Raquets Fitness Centre, being a member of the club for over 30 years. He has competed at County, National and European level, only retiring from active competition in 2019. He has also been an Oxfordshire County coach and managed the County Men’s, Vets Over35s and 45s teams for over 20 years.
Mark’s initial career was in Banking where he worked for 27 years with Lloyds, leaving the profession in 2015. He then retrained as a Massage Therapist, studying at the London College of Massage, and has also completed additional training including specialist courses for Pregnancy & Massage with Cancer. Throughout both his careers Mark has always derived great satisfaction in assisting his clients to overcome their difficulties, mental & physical, and now hopes to continue this philosophy within his own business.
Having suffered several serious injuries during his life, Mark understands well the health implications resulting from these types of trauma. This has given him a better insight into how to look after people suffering with all sorts of conditions and injuries, and from
whatever walk of life they come. It has also motivated him on a personal level to have a better understanding of how the body works from a clinical and holistic prospective.
In his free time, Mark is still active playing racketball, enjoying golf with his friends, cycling, swimming and now padel tennis, but mostly enjoys just spending time with his family and especially his energetic young daughter Sofia.
